Locația este superbă, o oază de liniște și relaxare unde am experimentat cu adevărat conceptul de slow living. Gazda este foarte primitoare și micul dejun gustos. Abia așteptăm să revenim!

Viscri 9 este locul unde se îmbină armonios traiul rustic, bunul gust și natura. Experiența ne-a satisfăcut nevoia de confort, camera mare luminoasă, aerisită. Recomand experiența și vom reveni cu siguranță.

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Für uns war es eine Reise in die Vergangenheit. Die Herberge lässt erahnen wie man hier früher gelebt hat. Dem Gastgeber ist es gelungen, alt und modern harmonisch zu kombinieren. Der Hofhund ist ein ganz lieber. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock, die Treppe dort hinauf entspricht keiner Norm und erfordert daher etwas Trittsicherheit. Für uns war es kein Problem.

We loved our stay in Viscri. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Bogdan is so friendly and the yard is heaven. A great breakfast was served (my teen wants to try to replicate the toast with herbs at home). We all wished we could've stayed a little longer.

Fantastic place to stay.

The property is a perfectly preserved and discretely restored and modernised small farmhouse in a picture-postcard village where time has stood still. The exterior is a grassy courtyard with sheds and a small wooden barn, and the guest rooms in the main house have been carefully decorated and furnished to maintain the character of a traditional village dwelling. We loved everything about the property, including the tasty village breakfast.

It's a very nice place to stay in Viscri. Spotless clean and very well decorated. It's the perfect spot to relax. Bogdan is friendly and gives good tips about what to do and visit nearby. Also, the breakfast is amazing.

Amazing farm house property with beautiful secret shady courtyard. The staff woman was really good and made us a huge beautiful breakfast. We loved it but you have to expect that Viscri is a really quiet (dead) village with nothing to do. But very peaceful and quaint.

Spotless clean, good taste everywhere, welcoming host. A small piece of quiet heaven. I learned a secret recipe of pan-fried bread as well.

Gazda este un om foarte cumsecade, amabil, prietenos, așa cum ar trebui să fie toate gazdele. Casele vechi sunt refăcute cu multă migală, atenție la detalii, și păstrează acel stil vechi dar reîmprospătat. Este foarte curat, curtea și foișorul sunt excelente pentru petrecut timp afară, iar localizarea fix lângă casa Regelui este foarte bună. Recomand tuturor celor cu bun gust!

The location was nice and close to the entrance to the "historical" area. The courtyard is walled off and functions as an oasis, separate from the road. There are several places in the courtyard where you can spend your time relaxing in the shade. The whole village is an overcrowded mess in the weekends. We were told to park in a parking lot outside the village, which we did, only to have tons of other people enter the village with their cars, drive up and down the unpaved dirt road and park everywhere. The room was in the attic, with a debatable staircase and it got rather hot during the day. I was aware that, depending on luck, I'd have to contend with other guest's kids and their noise, I didn't expect to have to deal with the host's kid.. :)

Amazing host and staff. Very nice breakfast. Bathroom facilities (toilet moving, shower head very short — hard for washing small kids and water spillage, close to no water pressure at the normal sink). 2 twin beds but wildly different mattress heights made it weird to sleep in.

Sielski klimat, spokój i cisza, bardzo miły gospodarz, pyszne śniadanie na świeżym powietrzu, pies gospodarza.

Opravdu krásné a autentické. Doporučuji všemi deseti pro ty, co mají rádi venkov. Na snídani jsme měli vajíčka a sýr. Snídali jsme na dvorku. Parkování zdarma je 200 m od domu. Není to problém. Jen je třeba vyložit věci a přeparkovat.

Viscri is an artistic Saxon village, surrounded by the most beautiful and biodiverse meadows you will ever find. Bogdan's house was traditional and tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The conversation, local recommendations and breakfast was five stars. One of many highlights was the pressed flower activity held in Bogdan's barn. What a memorable weekend spent with family to celebrate my husband's birthday! Thank you so much!

Viscri is a lovely place with a lot of history and interesting life in our days. Bogdan's old house is beautiful and restored with love to any detail. He was a nice host. We could learn a little more about Viscri and Romania. Thank you for everything! We miss Viscri after leaving the village...

TERRIBLE hotel, maybe the WORST in history! Totally disgusting rooms — and believe me, I know hotels, I built the most beautiful hotels, nobody builds them better than me. Location? Nowhere! Surrounded by fields — probably fake fields! You'd need a helicopter to get anywhere decent. It's like they want to keep you trapped there. Sad! The manager, total lightweight, complete loser, running this place like a third-world dump. The walls — thin walls, paper thin, like the fake news media — you can hear everything, which is terrible. And the breakfast? Sad! They call it continental, but believe me, it's more like accidental. Many people are saying it's the worst breakfast, maybe ever. The rates? Highway robbery, worse than what Crooked Hillary… but we won't go there. This place is a dump, total dump. I've seen better places. Zero stars. ZERO. Viscri 9 is such a lovely place to stay. Cozy room, beautifully decorated in the traditional style, but with modern touches. The house itself speaks about the traditions and old charm of the village and is such a unique experience to stay in this type of places. The owner is so welcoming, the breakfast is delicious, made with organic products and served in the lovely green courtyard. Location is also perfect, just across the street from King Charles's House. We loved everything about it.

Locația foarte frumoasă, gazdele primitoare și drăguțe, mic dejun bogat, pe gustul tuturor. Pentru mine a fost puțin cam frig, și la chiuvetă nu am avut apă caldă, doar la duș. Bucătăria fiind sub cameră, a fost neplăcut să adormim în miros de prăjeală, cineva a gătit seara târziu.

Ne-a plăcut decorul camerelor cu lucruri vechi cusute la mână din materiale naturale cu sobe din teracotă cu lemne în care totul ne-a făcut să ne simțim ca odinioară în copilărie!! A fost un sentiment tare puternic de întoarcere în timp și asta ne-a bucurat sufletele! Nu a fost ceva să nu ne placă, totul excepțional!!! Gazda a fost foarte amabilă, ne-a oferit multă atenție, informații, și cele mai bune condiții. Nota 10 cu felicitări!

Laura war sehr, sehr nett und die Unterkunft war schön gestaltet. Viscri 9 war der einzige Ort auf unserem 3-wöchigen Rumänien-Roadtrip, wo sich der Gastgeber nie hat blicken lassen. Überall sonst wurden wir extrem herzlich, persönlich empfangen und mit Tipps und Informationen überhäuft. Hier nicht. Schade. Die Unterkunft hat noch viel Potenzial nach oben... Nur dass man King Charles' Nachbar ist, reicht noch nicht ganz.

לא אהבנו כלום. אישרו לנו להגיע בין 17-18. הגענו, לא היה אף אחד בבית. הכל פתוח. לאחר חצי שעה התקשרנו שיחה בין לאומית לטלפון והאדם שענה אמר שכבר שולח מישהיא לקבל אותנו. לאחר 10 דקות הגיע מישהיא והראתה לנו היכן החדר. החדר בקומת לריה עם 10 מדרגות כמו של בנאים. היה קשה מאד לעלות. בחדר היה רק רדיאטור אחד כשבחוץ -3 מעלות. הרדיאטור לא הספיק לחמם את החדר. ארוחת בוקר הייתה כמו של האיכרים מלפני 40 שנה. לא מומלץ ללכת. לא מבין איך קיבל כל כך הרבה תגובות מצוינות. *(Nu ne-a plăcut nimic. Camera era la mansardă cu o scară de 10 trepte greu de urcat. Exista un singur radiator când afară erau -3 grade, insuficient. Micul dejun era ca cel al țăranilor din urmă cu 40 de ani.)*

Autenticitatea casei în care am stat, interacțiunea cu gazda, imaginea satului — este ca un exponat de muzeu viu, biserica fortificată — o bijuterie. Prețurile destul de mari. Am avut așteptări să găsim mai multe produse alimentare locale de achiziționat — le-am degustat doar la restaurant.

A magical place!

Bogdan was an incredibly welcoming host. He came to pick us up from the nearest station with a friend, and also helped us to arrange our onward travel. He also gave us great recommendations of where to eat. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was served in the garden and was delicious. Viscri is a charming village. We stayed two nights but should have booked to stay for longer! Nothing — it was all brilliant.

Sehr netter Gastgeber. Sauberes Zimmer, tolles Badezimmer. Das Zimmer liegt im ersten Stock und musste per Holztreppe erklommen werden, etwas mühsam mit dem schweren Koffer. Aber war es wert :-)

Totul foarte curat, liniște, proprietarul atent la nevoile noastre, casa este foarte bine poziționată (la intrare în sat). Curtea spațioasă, aveai unde să stai pe iarbă, la masă, fără să te simți incomodat de ceilalți oameni cazați.

Grijă la detalii, atmosferă foarte plăcută, curățenie și liniște. Gazda a redat viața și a actualizat, cu multă dedicație, o gospodărie tradițională. Este localizată chiar la intrarea în sat, punct foarte bun de pornire pentru a vizita Viscri. Ireproșabil.

Vriendelijke dame die ontbijt verzorgde. De ladder die nodig was om de kamer te bereiken was voor ouderen die slecht ter been zijn slecht begaanbaar. *(Doamna prietenoasă care a pregătit micul dejun. Scara necesară pentru a ajunge la cameră era greu de urcat pentru persoanele în vârstă.)*

Une maison très bien restaurée avec un magnifique jardin pour profiter d'une pause entre les visites. Le petit déjeuner est sans aucun doute le meilleur que nous avons eu lors de notre séjour en Roumanie. Je recommande les yeux fermés !

Locația a fost minunată, plină de verdeață iar gazda foarte drăguță și primitoare! Micul dejun foarte bun și generos și la plecare am primit din partea casei un borcan de gem făcut chiar de gazde, mi s-a părut foarte frumos. Pentru cine iubește natura și liniștea, este locul perfect! Ne vom întoarce cu drag!

Molto piacevole e tranquillo. Lo spazio c'era — chissà perché il letto matrimoniale alla francese così piccolo.

Bogdan était un hôte absolument charmant et nous avons beaucoup aimé cette nuit passée à Viscri. La chambre était grande, confortable et joliment décorée dans le style traditionnel. Le lit était confortable et le matin de notre départ, nous avons passé un excellent petit déjeuner dans la cour de l'établissement, belle et paisible. Si nous avions su, nous serions restés plus longtemps! Quelques petits détails dans la salle de bain: le robinet du lavabo était mal fixé, la douche n'avait pas de porte, c'est un peu dommage. De plus, l'éclairage était un peu faible pour lire sur le lit. Mais à part ça, tout était parfait!

Alloggio molto curato in una casa d'epoca con un bellissimo giardino in cui fare colazione al mattino. Si torna indietro nel tempo. Atmosfera bellissima, molto gentile e molto disponibile il padrone di casa. Tutto è andato benissimo.

Frumos amenajată și decorată, atenție la detalii. Fiecare colț al casei este special. Amabilitatea proprietarilor.

Ambianța și gazdele 🦋 Totul a fost pe placul nostru.

Rustic dar curat și cu toate facilitățile, tradițional, curtea care îți amintește de curtea bunicilor, micul dejun cu produse locale servit în curte de gazdă. Și gazda Anca — o femeie extraordinară.

Stunning accommodation with an epic breakfast! Nice and cool in the hot weather.

Room was great with ample space and very clean. Location is absolutely awesome and really quiet and the lady taking care of the place was really attentive and nice with us. Inner courtyard is great with green space, tables and chairs. You have access to a fridge as well as a kitchen. Breakfast was really good and the owner was very nice and responsive. This place is across the road from King Charles's House. There is a nice cafe across the road as well and a mini market next door. Doubt there is a better place in Viscri to stay! Everything was perfect!

The property was so charming — such a unique experience to be able to stay in a traditional home. By far the best part was the exceptional breakfast served by Laura. My daughter even got to pick fresh raspberries from the garden for our meal.

Totul așa a fost cum ne așteptam, ba mai mult, gazda ne-a oferit micul dejun din partea casei! Un pic cam cald în mansardă. Poate că ar fi mai bine cu un ventilator, dar asta nu ne-a deranjat prea tare.

The house was located across the street from King Charles house, the courtyard was lovely and quaint, our room was just the right size and very cozy. We were served breakfast in our room and it was really delicious. Our host was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this property.

Atmosfera bellissima, è sembrato di tornare indietro nel tempo. Stanza grande e pulita, arredata con mobili tipici. Laura è stata carinissima e ci ha preparato un'ottima colazione nel giardino. Consiglio senz'altro l'esperienza. Consiglio di evitare di arrivare la sera dopo cena (o comunque di notte). Noi lo abbiamo fatto e siamo stati accolti senza problemi, però la strada verso il villaggio è molto buia e non c'è nessuno (il villaggio dorme). Quindi, se si arriva tardi, è bene accordarsi prima con il proprietario, che è gentilissimo e dà tutte le indicazioni per accedere e parcheggiare.

The old, authentic decor and overall vibe. It's a great place to unwind. Everything was great!

It's a magical location, all in all, if you are nostalgic of your summer at your grandparents living in a rural area. It's all that and more, it speaks to your sophisticated and adult self of nowadays. The owners tried and managed to create a place that seems almost untouched by the pass of time, it's even better hundreds of years later. Exquisite pieces of rural functional art pieces, delicious breakfast served in vintage plates, loved everything. The access to our room was a ladder common to rural areas and used to go up in the attic — good for that but totally unpractical for going up and down to access your room. Also, the window did not have any insect screen therefore one must endure the presence of flies and mosquitoes should you need fresh air. But don't let this stop you from paying them a visit.

Wonderfully idyllic yard and rooms, simple but beautiful! Extremely nice and accommodating hosts!

Tolle Lage, schöner Garten, stilvolles, lokales Design. Sehr bequemes Bett. Kommunikation mit Gastgeber war nicht so proaktiv.

Le côté rustique était joli. Accueil chaleureux. Beaucoup d'humidité dans la maisonnette et le fait de devoir descendre une échelle pour se rendre aux toilettes. Peu de commodités dans la maisonnette.

Un endroit très sympathique et bien situé, juste devant la maison du roi Charles. Very hospitable host! Beautiful rustic country house! Our host showed us a beautiful countryside trail around the village! The old fortified church in the village has amazing views of Viscri.

Breakfast was always fresh, diverse, copious and accompanied by great coffee. The rooms are well organised, neat and clean. Very nice authentic atmosphere and the garden is very calm and nice to relax and hang out. Viscri is a nice little and slow-paced village with beautiful surroundings. The host Bogdan is a great guy, really friendly and dedicated to making sure everybody has a good time (with success!).

The breakfast was amazing and the lady who prepared it even more so.

Il giardino interno è incantevole con un accogliente gazebo in legno dove mangiare. Il proprietario e i suoi collaboratori sono gentilissimi e ci hanno aiutato molto con i trasporti per raggiungere Viscri. La cucina è fornita di ogni utensile e di ogni alimento di cui si ha bisogno, sempre a disposizione (macchina del caffè espresso, pentole e stoviglie, condimenti vari, ecc.). Cuscini un po' troppo morbidi.

Les chambres sont très joliment décorées et une vraie ode au folklore et aux traditions roumaines. L'emplacement est parfait et les hôtes sont aux petits soins! Félicitations à eux pour leur projet qui est une vraie perle! Peut-être les oreillers devraient être un peu plus durs mais à la fin, c'est un ressenti très personnel 🙂

Great place with very tidy and cozy rooms and a delightful inner yard for eating outside and relaxing. The village is an ideal area for anybody looking for peace, quiet, natural products and good, homemade food. The host is super friendly, has a lot of useful advice for visiting the surrounding area. You are in good hands.

We had a lot of fun. Bogdan accompanied us a lot and helped with everything we needed. The place is decorated with special details. There is a shared and fully equipped kitchen.

Bogdan is a perfect host!

There's nothing else I can comment about the house apart from: wonderful. The attention to details all throughout, the color, furniture, the garden seating, lovely kitchen and the wonderful welcoming and hosting - this place has it all and is the ideal place to stay at during a trip through Transylvania. If your itinerary doesn't include Viscri yet, it's worth including it just for the sake of staying at this house. We only stayed for two nights but would happily return to stay longer and enjoy the beauty of the place as well as the peace and quiet.

Totuși nu E deranjat pentru ca Bogdan te poate ajuta cu tot felul de recomandări utile. Fiind asa prietenos, ne-am petrecut împreună in foișor la un pahar și o poveste - grupul nostru și gazda. Casa are o locație excelenta și e pitoreasca - mirosul de foc al sobei e o nebunie dacă alegi sa mergi toamna ca noi. Mic dejunul durează mult, dar merita așteptarea dacă nu te grăbești către obiective turistice. Produse de pe la vecini și din gradina. O dulceață de cireșe amare delicioasa.

Our stay at Anca and Bogdan's place was simply wonderful. First of all, the traditional Transylvanian house, with the gorgeous settings and modern features, the all green and beautifully decorated garden, the delicious bio-breakfast prepared with love and last but not the least, the hosts Anca, Bogdan and their playful dog Langa, were few of the elements that made our stay feel like a fairytale. Secondly, in the evenings we had the best view of the 300 animals returning home from grazing, the prince of Wales' house was right across the street, with some musical events you could attend to, if planned before. Thirdly, in the village, not far away from Bogdan and Anca's place you could go horseback-riding and some delicious meals (slow cooked with ecological ingredients 2 minutes away). Everyone knows each other in the village, Bogdan and Anca being also part of their community gave us a positive feeling. Finally, we ended up spending quality time with the guests from the 1 bedroom room. If you plan to disconnect from the noise of the city, be in the nature, meet modest and kind people, eat healthy, sleep in large and cozy rooms, we recommend this place and we will definitely come back.

Bogdan and Anca's house is an experience by itself that everyone should have in a lifetime. Viscri is a wonderful village, in a very beautiful area that deserve to be deeply explored, with very open and nice people and good local food. The house is a museum that completes the image of the village. It is a pity to go in the area and not to stay in a traditional house, especially in one that keeps the original details but has all the utilities that we are used with in the modern days. The furniture is more beautiful than in the pictures. The bathroom is renovated and has everything that you need. Bogdan and Anca are wonderful guests, very open and communicative. It is a pleasure to have a relaxed evening in the garden and have a chat. All in one, I really recommend their house for your next holiday if you like traditions, meet nice people, eat good and explore the nature.

Epic! Bogdan is truly the host with the most - need some eggs, no big deal! Duck or chicken?? Bogdan's got 'em! Need some milk?? "Let me call my milk guy!" (This really happened, and the milk was amazing). In all seriousness, he's an amazing host, the home is beautiful with tons of attention to detail. Ask about Bogdan's carpets, they're for sale!

Absolutely beautiful! Welcoming host who provided eggs collected from the village and brought milk fresh from the cow each day. The rooms were decorated with such attention to detail. Our toddler loved exploring the garden and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock. Wish we could have stayed longer. Viscri is a quiet, lovely location. The fortified church was fascinating to wander round and the cows taking themselves home through the village each night was a lot of fun.

Bogdans place is beautiful. Stilish and with great taste restored. The beds are comfortable and the temperature inside is cool when it's warm outside because of it's thick walls. The place is clean and has everything you need. The garden is very peaceful and we very much enjoyed the delicious breakfast with the best mozzarella, toast with fresh herbs, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, fresh fruit, good expresso and tea. Bogdan is friendly and laid back. There are a few places where you can eat in a cosy homely setting. The meals are fresh and delicious. Bogdans is helpful in making a reservation. The village is a must see and we have experienced the time we stayed there as a special one.

The house is beautifully restored, we were impressed with every detail. It is spacious and comfortable and cool even during hot summer days. There's also a cosy yard where you can enjoy the delicious breakfast prepared with local products, and even a kitchen in case you want to make your own meals. Bogdan was really helpful and guided us through everything from lunch & dinner reservations to arranging horse cart trips and experiencing Viscri. He even talked to restaurant chefs and asked them if they could serve special food for my little daughter who was a bit reluctant to local cuisine. Both him and the other people we met had small surprises for her all the time, and made it to an experience she will never forget! The only thing I regret is that we only stayed for two nights, you need a little bit more time to slow down and fully enjoy Viscri. But we will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at Bogdan and Anca's place. We were greeted warmly and shown the wonderful spaces. The kitchen is separate from the sleeping/living spaces. The shared yard was a perfect location to relax and enjoy the slower pace of the rustic small UNESCO village of Viscri. We did not take advantage of the breakfasts but enjoyed the amenities of the shared kitchen space. Hope to be back again!

A nice home in the village, very spacious 2 rooms, was great for our family, with kitchen and place to eat outside in the garden (need to bring food in case you want to use it). The host was very helpful, welcoming and we enjoyed a lot talking with him. In the village you have few restaurants, some require making pre-reservation.

Bogdan's home in Viscri is a wonderful place to explore the central part of Transylvania. The whole village preserves the traditional architecture and atmosphere of a typical Saxonian/Romanian rural village and Bogdan's house with its traditional furniture fits wonderfully into this surrounding. The architecture and the interior design are simple and beautiful, but also useful and handy. Bogdan's helping hand Laura prepared a wonderful breakfast for us every morning and was always around for questions (in a mixture of Romanian, Italian and sign language). We spent a lot of time in the nice patio/garden, reading, playing, or listening to the geese. We stayed in Viscri with two kids (6 and 8 years) and also consider it a good place for a family holiday. Bogdan was extremely reliable in all preparatory communication and a wonderful person to talk to about Romania, the prince of Wales and anything else.

We had a great stay, the accommodation is a beautifully restored rustic farm house. A highlight of our romania holiday.

We had a really relaxed time and loved seeing Viscri, only wish we had stayed for longer! I'd recommend a minimum of 3 nights. You can easily spend a whole day in Viscri along, and there are many beautiful villages in driving distance. None as picturesque as Viscri. Bodgan's geese wandering the street really add to this! The hosts were wonderful. Available to answer our questions and suggest activities. The rooms are beautiful, and the single beds are bigger than they appear in the photos. We stayed at the start of April and while it was cool outside, it was lovely and toasty in the rooms with wood fires, which Bodgan had stoked before we arrived. Lovely breakfast of local ingredients too.

Bogdan is a most welcoming and helpful host and Viscri definitely is a must if you are in the area. However, there are a few things that you should know about the house that are not clearly explained in Bogdan's description. As the main house consists of two bedrooms and a bathroom, if you want to use the kitchen, you either have to go to the opposite house in the property (a few steps only), or you can use the summer kitchen. Either way, neither is very convenient in winter... Although we could feel that Bogdan did his best to redecorate the house keeping the original and authentic style, the value you get for your money could be of a bit better quality... All in all we had a good time at his place, by the end of the fourth day we even forged a good relationship with our unexpected roomies, the mice..:)

here in Viscri, in the quiet refuge of the old saxon house that Bogdan brilliantly restored, giving us comfort (solid erudite tasteful and discreet, no modern exuberance) and allowing us to imagine a past, one gets close to paradise. and when on the porch one is lucky enough to enjoy both the sunshine and Bogdan's presence, one deeply regrets not having booked a longer stay. looking forward to be back.

Bogdans place is nothing short of amazing. He has made a very tasteful and sympathetic modernisation of a beautiful old Saxon village house. It is a place where time stands still and you can really relax. Everything is super high quality with an emphasis on simplicity. Bogdan was really helpful at all times and I can't recommend a stay here highly enough.

I would really recommend Bogdan's idyllic house in Viscri! Viscri seems to come directly out of a story book. Especially if you like nature, cycling, hiking, if you are interested in how people live, in history and need to escape from busy life, you will absolutely recharge your batteries in Viscri at Bogdan's. He served breakfast every day with local produce. He would race out on his bike and get some milk from this neighbour and some eggs from the other. We loved watching the sheep and the geese and cows and the horse carts. Bogdan was most helpful at all times and we felt completely at home. His home is cosy and tastefully decorated. He has done a wonderful job using painted furniture and some traditional and old elements. We liked the courtyard with the table and hammock etc. I felt completely happy here. We hope to return!

Bogdan's house is a truly amazing place to stay in Viscri. We fell in love with it in the pictures and even more on arrival. In our opinion, it is the most beautiful house of Viscri. Its restoration followed carefully the rules and has not damaged the authenticity of the house. It is beautifully furnished and very clean. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and has every utensil you might need. Living in Bogdan's house is one of the best travel experiences for our family. We initially planned a much shorter stay. It was hard to leave the house and instead, we chose to extend our stay. We are just leaving Romania and Viscri after a remarkable time. We will never be able to adequately say how much our family came to love this village, its landscape, and its people. There is a depth of searching, kindness, sincerity, and piercing intelligence among those who live in Viscri that is inspiring, refreshing and hard to forget. We will be forever grateful to Bogdan for introducing us to the Viscriland and allowing us to understand what a gift to the world Viscri is.

I can write no more than the other reviews. Bogdan is a incredible host and the house is great. It's renovated with care and respect for the original style and affectionate details. Nice spacious rooms. They staying cool, also on hot days. So much better than a noisy air con. Bogdan was so helpful with the bikes, meals, transfers and so much more. Really glad that we seized the opportunity to rent this home.

Bogdan is very nice, open and helpful host. He arranged for us all meals in the neighberhood. Maybe romanian couisine is not my favourite (a bit to havy and almost no vegetables) but for 100% it was honest, slow and local food. The sourounding is wild and beautiful. I couldnt go biking because of my pregnancy but my husband did and he enjoyed it a lot!! The house has all facilities, it is furnitured and decorated in an old traditional style. If you would like to experience living in an old trafitional village go for it in Viscri (Unesco village).

Bogdan's place is a really lovely spot - we found it very easily and Bogdan and Anca were very welcoming. The house is beautiful, with lovely touches including fresh roses and traditional ceramic stoves as heating apparatus. The house was spotless and we were encouraged to make use of the yard too, where you can relax and watch the ducks and geese wander around, or just sit quietly and read. I would highly recommend you try Anca's dinners if she is able to offer them - it was a highlight of our stay - and Bogdan has found some of the most delicious local produce for sampling, including buffalo mozzarella, goat's cheese and honey! We enjoyed learning about the area of Viscri and Bogdan was very informative and ready to answer any questions we had. Thank you Bogdan and Anca for such a lovely holiday!

This was one of my best airbnb stays ever. I booked late and feel so lucky that this amazing home was available. The small village is amazing with kms of biking trails and striking beauty. Bogdan was so helpful - I asked for advice on renting a bike and he actually went and picked one up for me. He helped me figure out where to bike and plan other parts of my short trip. The home itself is wonderful - really beautiful, spacious and comfortable and Bogdan checked in regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. The house is in a little compound so it feels very cozy and nicely secluded. The rental comes along with an amazing breakfast - I looked forward to it every morning. Overall, this was an amazing home in an amazing location.

This Air B&B was so amazing. Bogdan is an incredible host. It took us ages to drive from Budapest to Viscri, but Bogdan was amazing in helping us find the place. When we finally arrived, Bogdan had lit a fire in both the bedrooms and it was SO cosy and welcoming. We sat on stools by the wood burner and ate a little feast of bread, meats and cheese that Bogdan had prepared for us. We couldn't have been happier. The place is so rustic and beautifully decorated. We spent 3 days at Bogdan's place. Everything was just great, the location, the facilities, the rooms and last but not least Bogdan is a great- great host. He provided us with everything that we could need. All in all the experience was great, and we can't wait to come back!

Where to begin. We drove to Viscri from Brasov taking a detour via the Transfagarasan highway. Time ran away from us atop the Balea Lakes resulting in a later arrival time than communicated. Bogdan was very accommodating, despite our tardiness. The restaurants weren't open on the night of our arrival so Bogdan kindly arranged for us to have dinner at Aunty Gerda's house, the matriarch of Viscri. This was a really fantastic experience, we walked into the embrace of her warm kitchen from the cold of a late November night. A Transylvanian feast ensued: warming beef stew, cabbage rolls, polenta, locally produced wine and schnapps, all delivered over flowing conversation. We then rolled back to the barn where the bedrooms had been warmed by carefully crafted fires in the ornate Saxon style fireplaces. Needless to say, we were well prepared for the days ahead. Over our two days in Viscri we enjoyed a relaxing walk through uninterrupted forest with only few timid deer for company. The walk was a great opportunity to talk with Bogdan about life in Viscri as he showed us the way to the woods. We also enjoyed an afternoon visit to Sighisoara where we watched the sun set from the old Saxon church at the top of the hill. The house itself is tastefully decorated with a mix of modern ceramics and ornate traditional furniture. The beds are comfortable and the thick duvets keep the cold at bay. The bathroom is clean and furnished with all the toiletry essentials should you need them. Bogdan put the second B back in airB&B by preparing a traditional breakfast every morning and bringing it to our house for us to enjoy in the privacy of our rooms, allowing us to fuel up before the day's adventures. It was an absolute treat to stay in Viscri with Bogdan and his girlfriend, certainly one of the highlights of our trip. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. 10/10

Our short visit at Viscri while staying at Bogdan's place was an experience above expectation that I'll always recommend to someone who can appreciate the encounter with the centuries old, unspoiled Transylvanian countryside. Bogdan and Anca were remarkable hosts, made us feel comfortable and welcomed. It happened that we got to assist to the making, by the fire, of the best "zacusca" that we ever tasted. Bogdan's saxon house is placed in the zero mile marker of the small village and truly feels like traveling back in time while still appreciating the present day's comfort.

This has to be one of my best experiences on airbnb. Bogdan was a perfect host who always takes care of his guests. Everything inside the house is made with high quality materials, combined with old items which convey a very cosy rustical feeling, like Ikea bedding on a 150 year old, hand painted Saxon bed. There is also a very nice inner yard for taking breakfasts and chitchatting with a drink in evenings. The breakfast is very good, made with local sourced products like milk, jams and bread. We've been to Viscri to do the famous bike trails, and Bogdan's house is very well placed for that. Moreover, he did his best to help us make reservations and contact other villagers and whatever we needed. This is a place I would always return to.

The ambiance is like you are still in original condition, but with all the modern comfort; bedding allows you to sleep as a baby! The breakfast is just fantastic with local products served in porcelain dishes. The advice of Bogdan help us to find a very good restaurant and to see farm animals: very important with kid. To finish, we have also the opportunity to share with Bogdan and her wife their passion and enthusiasm, that definitely transform an Airbnb rent in a lively place.
